What is Plasma Tightening Therapy ( Plasma Pen)

Plasma Pen works on the principle of ionized gas in the air. At the right distance from the skin (treated area), oxygen and nitrogen are mixed, and the electrostatic energy produces the plasmatic effusion, which discharges on the skin with thermals. The skin pores open, the superfluous plasma or water evaporates, and with proper fibroblast technique we reach the contraction of the skin, whereby the excess skin dies down superficially and falls in the form of dandruff within the framework of the aftercare.

The Plasma energy is directed through a precise tip of the hand piece. It is easy to manoeuvre and target the most hidden areas, achieving the best results. During the treatment it should be held 1–2 mm away from the skin so the plasma can reach its surface. Care must be taken when doing this to ensure good stability and firm support in the treatment area.

If the device touches the skin, it will immediately switch off, preventing the risk of injury. Treatments can be done at low- or high energy settings. Low energy settings are typically used for more superficial effects, such as correction of discoloration, texture and fine lines. High energy settings can also significantly improve wrinkles, acne scars and produce some tissues tightening

WHAT IS PLASMA TIGHTENING THERAPY

 

The Plasma treatment uses the fourth state of matter – plasma. Tissues treated “sublimate” and we avoid spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas. The principle is to ionize gases in the air to create a small electrical arch, similar to a tiny lightning bolt, with which dermal and epidermal areas, which are affected by aesthetic problems, may be treated without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding areas.

When the electrical arch – plasma – touches the skin surface, the heat widens the acne and is subsequently transferred into the epidermis all the way to the papillary layer which contains fibroblast cells. The result is con- traction and tightening of the skin cells. Consequently, the excess skin is reduced and the result is comparable to lift procedures or wrinkle reduction. Most, if not all, methods of skin resurfacing are based on creating a controlled skin damage, which activates its healing and this leads to the skin re-modelling and improvement in various signs of aging.
